Seek God In Truth

-Walking In The Light-

October 9, 2025

Many individuals seek God through experiences, enlightenment, tradition, ritual, sacrifice, offering, Eastern religions, cults, Islam, mysticism, knowledge, and emotions. And many find something, but is it the one true God? God must first be seen and understood in truth, not any of these other things.

My website is titled “seekgodintruth.com”. This is why I named it this way, and not just ‘seekgod’. Outside of the truth, there are many gods, and they all lead to perdition, not paradise. They are easy to find. The absolute God is revealed in absolute truth.

Jesus claimed to be the way, the truth, and the life. He also claimed that no one comes to the Father but by Him. This was not a claim to be “a” truth, but “the one and only” truth itself, an absolute claim. In our candid moments, we all know that truth is and must be absolute. Jesus claimed to be the absolute truth. Jesus claimed to be the great and only “I am” that spoke to Moses through the burning bush and who created the universe.

Jesus warned us not to be taken in by “another Jesus.” Jesus Christ is revealed in the sixty-six books of the Holy Bible, and it is impossible to find the God who created all that is apart from Him. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus is the Word, and His Word is Truth. Jesus is the creator; see also Colossians 1:16-17.

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” Colossians 1:16-17.

Some seek God in their ignorance, and God will show them what they are missing by introducing them to the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us. The only way to find God is through the truth. For God is truth. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. Before I became a Christian, I sought God through other religions. The truth set me free. This site is dedicated to seeking God in Truth, for that is the only way to find Him.

Many seek God, but not in truth. They seek a god after their own liking. They seek a god who will tell them what they want to hear but not what they need to hear. Many nominal Christians seek God, but not in truth. They pick and choose what they will believe. That is how we have Christians believing things that are contrary to the truth (The word of God, the Bible) and to the character of God. Some of these Christians seek a god who will let them continue to sin and not require complete repentance.

The subtitle for my website is ‘Walking in the Light’ from 1 John. Yet many Christians want to seek God, not in truth, but in darkness, because they wish to continue walking in the darkness of sin rather than in the light of righteousness. They have no intention of walking in the light because they have been repeatedly told that it is impossible and that God doesn’t demand it. In the darkness, the god they will find is the god of this world, who will lead them to everlasting misery.

Almost everyone knows John 3:16, but few seem to understand what follows it. “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, they that are wrought in God.” John 3:18-21, KJV.

Does it get any clearer than what you just read? People love darkness because it hides their sins. But the light exposes all of it, and that is why they hate the light. Everyone who does evil hates the light. Evil is not simply passive; it possesses energy and is dynamic.

We are told to walk in the light, not sit, stand, or lie down in the light. Those who know the truth and who love the God of truth walk in the light. Some Christians believe that walking in the light is actually optional and nearly impossible. Super saints walk in the light, not your average Christian. They walk in darkness, and their god is okay with that. All this explains why the nominal evangelical Christian Church is full of carnally minded, unsaved professing Christians. And all these lost souls professing to be genuine Christians turn multitudes away from the one true God by their hypocritical and empty profession of faith.

Seeking God in truth will always bring us to walking in the light. If it doesn’t, we are not seeking the God of truth and light. For God is truth and light, and in Him is no darkness. And as His children, we are to walk in the light as He walked in the light.

If you seek God in truth, you will walk in the light and not in the darkness of sin. You will live a righteous and holy life before God and man. You will be trusted because you are trustworthy. You bear much fruit.
