“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things (sin) are passed away;
behold, all things are become new (righteousness).” 2 Corinthians 5:17, emphasis added.

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people
from their sins.” Matthew 1:21. The angel announced that Jesus came to save his people from
their sins, not in their sins as most evangelical churches today teach.
