Origin of Islam
Before we get into the actual religion of Islam, there is one dimension that needs to be addressed. This may be very shocking to some of you. Did you know that there are some essential connections between Islam and the Roman Catholic Church? Recently, I wrote an article about the Roman Catholic Church. In that article, I said the following:
“As we consider the supposed infallibility of the Pope, let us review what the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on this earth, believes concerning the Muslim faith. The Pope says that Muslims and Catholics serve the same creator god. They may serve the same god, but it is not the God of the Bible. (Some evangelicals claim the same thing about Muslims and evangelicals serving the same god). In the Qur’an (Koran), it states that Jesus Christ didn’t rise from the dead. The Muslim Jesus was a prophet of Allah but not the Son of God. The Muslim Jesus is not the Son of God, for Allah has no son. Yet Jesus Himself declared that He was the only begotten Son of God. The Muslim God (Allah) rejects the Christian doctrine of one God in three persons. Let the apostle John rebuke the Pope and the Muslim (and evangelicals).
“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is Antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. 1 John:22,23
While the Muslim may pay lip service to Abraham and Jesus, it is not the Abraham and Jesus of the Bible. Allah has no son according to the Qur’an. Jesus Christ came into the world as the Son of God. I repeat, the Pope and Muslims may indeed serve the same god, but it is not the God of the Bible. It is not the one true God. (Look at how Wikipedia answers this question. Are Allah and the God of the Bible the same god? Their answer suggests that we do serve the same god. Wikipedia is not a good source for the truth on any subject, especially a Biblical truth.) This is just one example of how the Pope contradicts the Word of God and never blinks an eye because he believes he has the authority to determine truth. He does not; only God does.[1]” Emphasis added.
It may seem very hard to believe and understand that the “Christian” Pope would say that Muslims and Christians serve the same god. Do you think that? Many of us have seen the Pope kiss the Qur’an and do homage to Muslims. We have also seen Muslims bow before the Pope. There surely appears to be a significant connection between the Muslims and the Catholics. But what is that connection, and how important is it?
How could a Christian leader embrace, as a brother, a Muslim? The whole world should know that Muslims are responsible for the murder of Christians and other people groups in many nations over many centuries. Persecution of Jews and Christians by Muslims is common knowledge dating back to the supposed beginning of the Muslim faith in the late 6th century and early 7th century. How in heaven’s name could any “Christian” say that we serve the same god? It makes no sense whatsoever. How do we explain this?
To explain it, we must go back to the commonly held beliefs about the origins of Islam. It is typically taught that Mohammad Mustafa (born 570 AD and died 632 AD) married at 25 to a 40-year-old woman named Khadijah. She was a very rich Catholic, likely a Roman Catholic nun, like her cousin, who was a nun (reference Professor Walter J. Veith video, 2014 Lecture 16 of 36). Professor Walter Veith speculates that the Roman Catholic Church enlisted her to find someone (a young Arab man) who could carry forward with the mission of the Roman Catholic Church. That mission was to save the Holy Land for the Roman Church and eradicate Bible believing Christians who would not bow the knee to the Roman Church.
The two most dangerous sects, in the last 1,600 years, for the Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ, are the Roman Catholic Church and the religion of Islam. These two sects are responsible for the deaths of many tens of millions of Christians and others. One man estimates the total at about 150 million. Only God knows the real number. Read the news around the world, and almost all Christian persecution today is by the hands of the religion of Islam.
Is there evidence that the Roman Catholic Church facilitated the creation and or the growth of Islam for this purpose? Since the creation of Islam, it has evolved into its current form. (More on this development later in this article.) The facts are that many Islamic ties to the Roman Catholic Church and ancient paganism are undeniable. We will now consider some of them.
The Qur’an pays homage to Mary (the only woman in the Qur’an with a chapter named after her) and believes in some of the same false doctrines about Mary that the Roman Catholic Church teaches. Interesting, isn’t it? The following quote is taken from a PowerPoint by Walter Veith regarding the connection of the Roman Catholic Church, and Mary in particular, to Islam.
“Islam and the Immaculate Conception. The famous Bishop, Fulton J. Sheen, in his article ‘Mary and the Muslims,” found in the Mindszenty report, pages 1-3. The Cardinal Mindszenty Foundation considers this a crucial matter, which affects the whole world. The good Bishop states the following, ‘The Koran, which is the Bible of the Moslems, has many passages concerning the Blessed Virgin. First of all, the Koran believes in her Immaculate Conception, and also, in her virgin birth. WWW.heartsafe.com”
If one takes this literally, then Islam believes, as does the Roman Catholic Church, that Mary was conceived immaculate, without the guilt and stain of original sin. And for that reason, Jesus was conceived immaculate and without original sin, like his mother. The Qur’an doesn’t teach that Mary was born of a virgin, as this statement seems to indicate. It teaches the truth that Mary conceived Jesus as a virgin. However, why do Islam’s holy books refer to Mary more than the Bible does? Does this provide evidence that the Roman Catholic Church has its hand in the creation of Islam?
Jesus Christ, the man, had an earthly mother named Mary. His father was God the Father. Neither Mary nor Jesus nor anyone else is born with a sin nature and born guilty of Adam’s sin. The Immaculate Conception of Mary is needed only because of the belief in Original Sin. If Mary was born with a sin nature and Jesus was born of Mary, then Jesus must have been born with a sin nature. We all know that Jesus was not born with a sinful nature but no thanks to Mary. The Catholics resolved this contradiction and dilemma with the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. If you believe in the dogma of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, then you also think, maybe without realizing it, that Jesus was born sinless because of Mary. Mary becomes a figure much greater and more important than the truth permits. The Bible most assuredly doesn’t teach the lie of the Immaculate Conception of Mary.
Furthermore, Mr. Veith said that the Koran (Qur’an) also has verses on the Annunciation, Visitation, and Nativity. “There is such a strong defense of the Virginity of Mary here, 19th chapter of the Koran, which contains 41 verses on Jesus and Mary, attributed the condemnation of the Jews to their monstrous calumny (slander) against the Virgin Mary (from the fourth book of the Koran).” Very interesting to be sure. It appears that the slander of Mary is of more importance than the death of her son Jesus. Is this more evidence that the Roman Catholic Church was involved in the creation of the Muslim faith?
Islam doesn’t believe that Jesus Christ is God in human flesh. It doesn’t think that Jesus is the very Son of God. Allah has no son, according to Islam. It doesn’t believe Jesus was crucified on a cross for the sins of the entire world, died, and was raised from the dead. Seriously, who is more important, Jesus Christ or his earthly mother, Mary? If the Jews should be treated poorly by Muslims, it should be because the Jews killed their Messiah Jesus, not because they slandered Mary. Unbelievable. In Islam and the Roman Catholic Church, Mary is more central and nearly as important as Jesus Christ. That is the only conclusion I can come to. How about you?
The two largest religions in the world hold Mary in the highest regard. They venerate her. At the same time, several Protestant denominations also revere Mary. After all, she went with Jesus to the cross, while almost everyone else left him. Is this telling us something about what will happen in the future? Will the world unite as a one-world church, and will Mary and the Pope be central figures in that?
“The great Mother Teresa made this point when she summed up the matter in simple and forthright words: No Mary-no Jesus! Mother Teresa says so, because everything that Jesus Christ brought into the world came through His mother and by way of her co-operation with God……The world desperately needs The Immaculate Conception.” This is so disgusting, I hardly know what to say. The world desperately needs not the Immaculate Conception of Mary but the immaculate heart of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ alone deserves all, not some of, the credit and honor, not Mary, not the Pope, and not any man or woman that has or will ever live.
If you have further interest, look into all the names and titles that the Roman Catholic Church has bestowed on Mary. Some of these names and titles are shared with pagan deities and Islam. Islam’s root is most definitely pagan.
Let us consider some more curious features of both religions. Remember the Roman Catholic Church dates back to the time of Christ, 1st century AD. Mohammad died about 600 years after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If there is any connection between the two, the Roman Church supplied the material. Below are some fascinating similarities.
Muslim women wear clothing similar to that of Catholic nuns for many years. I attended a Catholic grade school, and all the nuns wore the full-length black habit, which closely resembles the dress of Muslim women today. Interesting.
In both Islam and the Roman Catholic Church, the priests are men, not women. Protestant and Baptist churches have pastors or ministers, not priests, for they believe in the priesthood of all believers (men and women).
Both religions use beads for prayer. I am not aware of any non-Catholic Christian churches that use prayer beads.
Islam highly exalts Mary, but the Roman Catholic Church has taken it to a new level. In the Roman Catholic Church, Mary has become a co-redeemer and co-redemptrix. It is like she is the fourth member of the Godhead. There is a painting in a Catholic Church or a monastery in which Jesus puts His crown of thorns on Mary’s head. Mary has holes in her hands. Both religions exalt Mary beyond Biblical justification.
Isn’t it interesting that over time, Catholic Cathedrals and Mosques are located close to or next to each other, on high hills, in certain nations. This is true today in different parts of the world where it is more obvious. Why is that? Could it be that both religions are closely related theologically and foundationally?
Both religions are big on pilgrimages. It is important to remember that pagan religious rituals were located on high hills and in groves. This is where they worshiped idols (with lots of sexual perversions) and sacrificed their children to the gods as a blood sacrifice. I believe that most, if not all, older Catholic cathedrals are built on pagan places of worship, and that includes the Vatican itself. Would a real Christian build a Christian Church on a known pagan site where all manner of wickedness, including child murder, was practiced? That is hard for me to accept and believe. How about you?
When Islam conquered a nation, they would build their mosque on that nation’s most prominent religious site. If you know the story of the Old Testament, you will recall God’s disapproval of Israel’s worship in groves and on high hills. Catholics go to shrines of Mary or Fatima while Muslims go to Mecca or some other holy place. All of this is pagan in origin, isn’t it?
Both religions use many of the same or very similar symbols, such as the round disc, the crescent moon, and an 8-pointed star. For example, the Roman Catholic host is a round, sun-shaped piece of bread that the Roman priest consecrates into the real body and blood of Jesus Christ. It is housed in a monstrance and cradled in a half-moon or crescent-shaped holder. The disk or host has literally become god, in Catholic theology. And it is worshipped accordingly. In both mosques and Catholic religious buildings, there is the 8-pointed star of Islam. Some experts point out the occult nature of this and other symbols. Is there more?
Another interesting tie to the religion of Islam is the use of the cave in picturing or describing their leaders’ encounters with god. Apparitions of Mary are often at the entrance of a cave. The founder of the Jesuits (Society of Jesus) got his instructions from god in a cave, as did Mohammad, the founder of Islam. Mohammad got his orders in a cave, so the story goes.
It is beyond the scope of this article to explore all these and other connections that are very interesting. Also, there are direct ties to secret societies and ancient pagan occult practices in both religions. It would take a large volume to examine all the connections, both to paganism and the occult, as well as to Islam.
These symbols, such as the crescent, the cross, the round disc, and the star, point back to the origins of both the Roman Catholic Church and Islam. Could it be that the real head of both is the god of this world and not Jehovah? In one nation (Damascus in Syria), the oldest mosque or shrine claims to have the head of John the Baptist, while the nearby Roman Catholic cathedral claims to have the arm of John the Baptist. All this may seem ridiculous, but I think not.
Before I explain, let us remember one crucial fact that proves the satanic design of both the Roman Catholic Church and the religion of Islam. Not even god-less communism, socialism, or Nazism has killed more real Christians than these two religions. Then think on all the other evils that emanate from these religions, such as child sexual assault, sodomy, rape, theft, and on and on it goes. That alone should be sufficient evidence, but there is more.
From the encyclopedia on Religion, “Allah is the moon god – a lunar deity, who married the sun goddess. Together, they produced three goddesses who are called the daughters of Allah. Allah is a pre-Islamic name which corresponds to the Babylonian god, Bel.” Robert A. Morey, Islam Unveiled: The True Desert Storm. (Sherman Dlae PA: The Scholars Press, 1991, pp. 46, 48-49.)
Other scholars disagree with Mr. Morey about the meaning of Allah. That should surprise no one. There are also so-called scholars of Islam who insist that it is a religion of peace. What else are they going to say? This is just leftist propaganda and a blatant lie. Islam, like the Roman Catholic Church, is a bloody, violent, and cruel religion and has been from the start. Mohammad was a murderer, rapist, thief, and pedophile himself, and all other Muslims are told to be like him. Be like the man (Muhammad) of the book (Qur’an). Christians are also told to be like the man (Jesus Christ) and the book (Bible). Refer back to the first article comparing the holy Jesus Christ to the unholy Mohammad.
There is no doubt about the crescent moon, which figures prominently in Islam. There is no doubt about the all-seeing eye, which is prominent in Islam and other pagan religions. And there is no doubt that both the Roman Catholic Church and Islam use the same or very similar symbols. Check it out for yourself.
Assuming Morey is correct, Bel is Baal, and Baal is Satan or Lucifer. The idol god Marduk was later known as Bel, or Merodach. Ancient cultures, in Egypt, Assyria, and Babylon, used a variety of names for the gods and goddesses of their pagan religions. They served Baal and Ashtoreth and practiced the same sexual degeneracy, including sodomy, and child sacrifice that Israel did before God Almighty destroyed both the northern and southern kingdoms of Israel. Most of these nations practiced everything that much of the world practices today: homosexuality, adultery, fornication, baby killing, and gender madness, just to mention a few of them.
What percentage of Roman Catholic priests today are homosexual? And how much pedophilia (heterosexual and homosexual) by priests and nuns has taken place within the Roman Catholic Church and is still taking place? It is a large percentage and a staggering number. Islam forbids homosexuality between Muslims, but not if it is the spoils of war. Young Christian men (Janissaries) were captured, and the undesirable ones became soldiers for Allah (convert or die, which has also been practiced by the Roman Catholic Church). In contrast, the desirable ones became homosexual sex slaves. Sodomy looms large within Islam over the centuries. Both religions are havens for all manner of sexual deviance. That is especially true for pedophilia and sodomy. (Obviously, sexual immorality takes place in Christian Churches as well, but not to the extent in the Roman Church and in Islam).
The Roman Catholic Church has an ever-growing list of forbidden books. Islam is also known for burning books. A man named Alberto Rivera claimed that the Jesuit leader, Cardinal Bea, the Jesuit General, personally instructed him in the origins of Islam. According to Rivera, the Roman Catholic Church started Islam on purpose to take the Arabs under their control and to secure Jerusalem. Many “scholars”, especially those sympathetic (subservient) to the Roman Catholic Church, ridicule this claim and say that this is just a myth (conspiracy theory) and not to be believed. Remember that the Roman Catholic Church has been and continues to be a compelling business, political, and religious movement for many centuries. It has been involved in starting and encouraging wars around the world for centuries. By the way, Islam is also a political, military, and religious system. The Roman Catholic Church is a master at propaganda and uses many secular venues to do its dirty work. If the Roman Catholic Church forbids the reading of a particular book, that is a book worth reading. The Roman Church is a master of deception, as is its father, a master of subtlety.
In the early centuries, after Constantine made “Christianity” one of the many legal state-sponsored religions in Rome (early 300s AD), the Roman Catholic Church branch and the Eastern branch grew apart. Both were corrupt, and their real enemy was those “Christians” who refused to bow the knee to these false systems. Could it be that the Roman Catholic Church created Islam as a force to eradicate authentic Christianity from the face of the earth? Islam has done a great job of doing just that for many centuries. In the not-so-distant past, the Roman Catholic Church was the undisputed leader in persecuting real Bible believing Christians. Isn’t it interesting that both religions (Islam and the Roman Catholic Church) hate Bible believing Christians? Between the two of them, they have murdered more real Christians than all forms of communism. Interesting. I wonder if these two religions serve the same god? I think the Pope was right when he said that they do serve the same god.
Remember the Byzantine Empire and the Eastern Christian church called Hagia Sophia? This masterpiece was built between 532 and 537 AD in Constantinople (later called Istanbul). This Christian Church building stood for a thousand years until the Ottoman Empire destroyed and conquered Christianity in 1453. Now a mosque stands in place of this Christian holy place. The Roman Pope was an enemy of this empire, and there was a formal schism in the 11th century (1054 AD), called the Great Schism. Again, might this explain why the Roman Catholic Pope says that Muslims and Catholics serve the same god?
The worship or veneration of Mary may be the bridge that will bring Muslims back to the mother church, the Roman Catholic Church. If that happens and the Muslims accept the Pope as the Vicar of Christ on earth, then combined, this religion will have over 50% of the world’s population in their hands. What a thought? Is there going to be a one-world religion? Could this be it?
Other important considerations regarding Islam
According to Dr. Jay Smith, an expert in Islam, what we know about Mohammad and the Qur’an was not written down until 200-300 years after the prophet’s death in 632 AD. Dr. Smith states that in 692 AD, the first coin was found, and it is the first time the Qur’an and Mohammad are mentioned in antiquity. But the world believes the Qur’an was written starting in 610 AD and finished in 650 AD, doesn’t it? Even the very “trustworthy” Wikipedia states that Ibn Ishaq wrote the earliest material on Muhammad’s life that we possess in 750 AD, 120 years after Muhammad’s death. Dr. Smith says that the material about the prophet and the book was not written down until 200-300 years after the prophet’s death. For my part, I believe Dr. Smith is more scholarly and unbiased than Wikipedia!
There are no written records, by eyewitnesses, of any of the Qur’an and the Prophet’s sayings. Islamic writings from 832 to 932 AD were not by eyewitnesses. By comparison, what we know about Jesus Christ, in the New Testament Bible, was written down 15-60 years after Jesus died by numerous eyewitnesses or those who knew the eyewitnesses personally. In other words, what is believed to be the teaching of the man (Muhammad) and the message of the word (Qur’an and other writings) is not trustworthy. No one knows what the Prophet of Allah had to say. Much editing went into what eventually became their Holy writings, including the Qur’an.
Will the real Muhammad please stand up
The following comment may rattle your brain for a few minutes, so buckle up, it is going to be a bumpy ride. Dr. Jay Smith also makes a strong case to suggest that Muhammad didn’t even exist! Other experts disagree, as do Muslims, but his expertise and evidence are compelling. Exciting stuff to be sure.
He believes that the 7th-century Muhammad is likely Iyas ibn Qabisah of Tayaye. In 622, he is the guy who got things started in Islam. He was a Christian to begin with, and his nickname was Muhammad. Very interesting.
These are the conclusions of the good doctor (Dr. Jay Smith) regarding early Islam. As a scholar, he uses the same proofs as those who argue for the traditional understanding of Muhammad and Islam. And I quote,
- “The sources for everything we know about Traditional Islam come too late and from too far away.
- Except for the 1st Canonization (which is impossible to find), the other four Canons (of the Qur’an) are too far north (Cairo, Damascus, Kufa, and Basra); thus, all are in Egypt, Syria, or Iraq.
- The Qur’anic Arabic is derived from Nabataean Aramaic, which is much too far north.
- The Ashtiname Letter is not from the 7th century, but the 16th century, thus much too late.
- The Constitution of Medina is not from the 7th century, but from the 9th century, again, too late.
- The Doctrine Iasobi refers to the wrong man, at the wrong place, and from the wrong time.
- Muhammad isn’t in the Qur’an, nor is he on the inscriptions of the Dome of the Rock.
- The coins support 7th-century archaeological and documentary evidence, and simultaneously confront the traditional 9th-10th-century Islamic narrative.
- Iyas Ibn Qabisah of Tayaye may be a 7th-century Muhammad, the later traditions borrowed.
- We can’t find any of the 4 ‘rightly guided caliphs’ in the 7th century at all, which is odd.
- The Rock Inscriptions, before 690 AD, say nothing about Islam, Muhammad, Mecca, the Qur’an, or Muslims. These only began to appear after 690 AD, and were finally introduced as we know them today between 720 and 730 AD.
- The Hijra of 622 was simply a later redaction by the Abbasids onto an earlier battle won by Heraclius for the Arabs, yet recognized as the year in which the Arabs finally created their own identity.
- The 741 AD inscription is the first reference to Mecca, yet places it below Edessa, in Southern Turkey.
- Petra was the initial sanctuary of the Arabs, which the current Mecca later replaced.
Initial Conclusion: The historical record suggests that most everything we now know of Islam in the 7th century is either too far north, or too far away, or much too late to be the Islam of the 9th-century Islamic Traditions.
Final Conclusion: “Islam is an Abbasid creation.”
Comments and explanations about Dr. Smith’s findings.
- The Abbasid Caliphate was the third caliphate to succeed the Islamic prophet Muhammad, according to Wikipedia. This caliphate ruled from 750 to 1258 AD. Smith is saying that what we know as Islam was not given to us by Muhammad but by the men of this Caliphate.
- The Ashtiname Letter of Muhammad is thought to be genuine. Dr. Smith contends that it is not for the reasons he mentions.
Recap
Let’s recap what has been presented in this second article. A few scholars believe that the Roman Catholic Church may have indeed helped start the religion of Islam. There are many very curious connections between both faiths, including but not limited to: prayer beads, women’s outfits or dresses, symbols, practices, veneration of Mary of the Bible, and most importantly, the persecution of Bible believing Christians.
This may be the first time you have ever heard about the questions regarding the authenticity of the Qur’an and Mohammad. The New Testament of the Bible was written by eyewitnesses or those who knew the eyewitnesses personally, within 15-60 years after the death of Jesus. But the Qur’an and other Islamic writings were written down, 200-300 years after the death of Mohammad. And none of that is from eyewitnesses. There is no comparison; the Bible is much more credible than the Qur’an just in terms of eye witness testimony. This, in addition to the content of each book, clearly reveals the heavenly character of the Bible and the Satanic character of the Qur’an.
According to Dr. Jay Smith, there is good reason to believe that the Muhammad of tradition never existed! The Qur’an and Muhammad were the creation of the Abbasid Caliphate hundreds of years after the supposed death of Muhammad.
Next article
The 3rd article will look at the theology of Islam and any connections with Christianity and the Roman Catholic Church. If you thought this article was unbelievable, just wait to find out more about what Muslims believe. It will shock you to your very core.
Unfortunately, most Muslims and Catholics do not know the doctrines or origins of their religions, but their leadership does. If only people would take the time to read and think for themselves, the world would be a much better place.
[1] On July 11, 2023 it was reported that Pope Francis appoints men and women to create a “Synodal Church” that will affirm the LGBTQIA movement as part of the Roman Catholic Church. The Vatican says that a more Synodal Church will be open to ecumenical and interfaith wisdom. This is worldly wisdom and not wisdom from the God who created all things. This is another very clear example that the Pope is not the Vicar of Jesus Christ or the truth.
