Over the years, I have often wondered how it is that Black Americans, who claim to be Christian, support the Democratic Party. That political party is the champion of abortion (legalized murder of babies) on demand up to the time of birth. Even those Black Christians that I have gotten to know personally seem soft on the issue of abortion. It has been somewhat of a mystery to me. Not only does the Democrat Party support baby killing up to the moment of birth, but it also supports every unbiblical, unchristian, and evil practice imaginable.
I recently read three books written by Vince E. Emmerson. In his book titled The Iron Triangle, the mystery started to unravel. His thesis is that Black Americans are afflicted with Stockholm Syndrome and cognitive dissonance.
The Stockholm Syndrome is a psychological condition where a victim identifies and empathizes with their captor and abuser. They may even come to support their objectives. It is rare, occurring in only about 8% of victims. Patty Hearst is one example that many of us are familiar with. She was kidnapped and eventually renounced her family, changed her name, and joined the group that captured her. She also participated in bank robberies.
Cognitive dissonance refers to the discomfort a person feels when their actions and beliefs do not align. When a person holds two contradictory positions simultaneously, a psychological consequence called cognitive dissonance occurs. This might include anxiety, regret, shame, anger, and so on. Anger is one emotion that is very noticeable today.
What does this have to do with Willie Lynch? Mr. Lynch supposedly gave instructions to other slave owners on how to make a great slave. These instructions include the use of fear, torture, programming, and much repetition. Wikipedia states the following: “Known as the Willie Lynch letter, it is an address purportedly delivered to an audience on the bank of the James River in Virginia in 1712 regarding control of slaves within the colony. In recent years, it has been widely exposed as a hoax.” This slave owner supposedly advised on how to control slaves by setting them against one another. Mr. Emmerson acknowledges all this but maintains that the ideas remain relevant today and are being applied in the Democratic Party’s work with Black Americans.
Vince E. Emmerson says all this helps explain how blacks disown their faith in Christ and take sides with Democrats who are anti-Christian in their beliefs and policies. How can a real Christian knowingly support something unchristian? The considerations just mentioned partially explain how Black Christians can vote for the Democratic Party with its undeniable history of slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow laws, and the murder of millions of Black babies. He maintains that Blacks put their faith in white liberals (not the God of the Bible), who enslave them in an evil system that never achieves what they promise. The Black politician, the Black Civic leader, and the Black preacher have been bought off and now peddle a white liberal agenda (not the gospel) for a few pieces of silver. The white liberal provides the financial incentives to Black leaders, and that usually brings home the vote for the white liberal Democratic Party, according to Mr. Emmerson.
How else do we explain it? Couple these issues with the decline in Biblical authority and teachings that appeal to carnal believers, and the result is a church full of compromisers. When churchgoers swallow the lies of a corrupt clergy, corrupt political leadership, and a corrupt civic organization, this is the result. Many, not all, Black churchgoers become as carnal as their leaders and have no problem voting for baby killing, gender bending, homosexual marriage, indoctrination of youth, and other sexual deviancy. The Democrat Party promotes all of this depravity. Emmerson states that many Black “Christians” have no problem voting for and supporting liars, adulterers, homosexuals, lesbians, thieves, rapists, drug addicts, and every other godless perversion known to man.
And yet they think they are saved and going to heaven because their carnal pastor tells them they are. They sing praises to God with the best of them, while their hands are red with the blood of innocent babies, and young men and women are killed in their godless cities. The Stockholm syndrome, Willie Lynch principles, and cognitive dissonance alone would probably never be so successful, but combining that with a compromised gospel is a sure path to destruction. When calling yourself a Christian means nothing, you are ready to call evil good and good evil. You are prepared to do the work of the devil and call it the work of God.
Mr. Emmerson wrote this book about the Black Christian community. We all know that much of the white Christian community is also deceived and corrupt. Both are a big part of the problem. The good news is that the truth will always set us free. There are many white and black Christians in name only. Pray with me that all of these lost souls find peace and salvation in the truth of the Bible. In a strong prophetic voice, Mr. Emmerson sounded the alarm and blew the trumpet.
